ADHD 

Students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) can have a wide range of behaviors in the classroom. Some students may simply lose focus without anyone noticing, while others can be quite active and disruptive.  Either way, you may find it interesting to know that the medical community no longer distinguish between ADD and ADHD.  It all falls under one category - ADHD, although many people still use the term "ADD".  Below are some resources that can help you help your students who have a difficult time remaining attentive.  

 

About ADHD - National Resource Center on ADHD - A website for the world’s largest non-profit organization supporting attention problems.  Be sure to check out the Information Sheets under the “What We Know” link on the left side of the page.  There is wonderful, easy-to-read information about various topics regarding ADHD.  

 

ADHD in Your Classroom - 10 Tips for Teachers - National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities - An easy to read blog that gives tips for teachers working with ADHD students.
